idcut makes spec-compliant ID photos (passport, visa, résumé, and more) entirely on your device, without uploading your face to any server. Pick a country and document type, then the app crops your photo to the spec and instantly checks whether it is likely to pass.
Q. Are my photos sent to a server?
No. Face detection, cropping, and specification checks all run on-device using Apple Vision. Your photos and face data never leave your device.
Q. Do you guarantee my photo will be accepted?
No. The specification check is an advisory pre-check based on ICAO/ISO rules; the issuing authority makes the final decision, and acceptance is not guaranteed. In passport and visa modes, background replacement and retouching are disabled to stay within official rules, so please shoot in front of a real plain background.
Q. How do payments work?
Editing and preview (watermarked) are free. Exporting in high resolution without a watermark is a one-time in-app purchase per export. There is no subscription.
Q. Which countries' specs are supported?
Passport, visa, and ID specs for Korea, Japan, the United States and other English-speaking countries, with more added over time.
Q. Where are my finished photos saved?
They are saved to your device's photo library when you choose to save them. The app does not keep your photos separately. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Bug reports, feature requests, and spec-addition requests are all welcome.
